Jedi Knight Outcast/Academy
*Video was recorded with blood enabled but not dismemberment. Thought it may of been too much gore to put on page/youtube*
Settings used:
All tested on 3D Vision Driver but will work on tridef at same compatibility from what I read.
[Jedi Knight II: Outcast]
GL Direct Opengl->Directx wrapper
widescreen jedi outcast configurations
open jk2config.txt and change: seta cg_drawCrosshair "0"
Mods: Bloody Dismemberment
First Person view for lightsaber is click P. "Optional" May want to make a key binding/macro if using weapons so that you draw lightsaber and click P in same key
[Jedi Knight III: Academy]
GL Direct Opengl->Directx wrapper
widescreen jedi academy configurations
open jaconfig.txt and change: seta cg_drawCrosshair "0"
Mods: Bloody Dismemberment / First Person Light Saber mod
[If using first person lightsaber mod you need to go man unless you don't mind man hands. Do not use double bladed AKA Darth Maul. Too much twirling... you are a Jedi, not a ballerina *I am not sure about two light sabers either*]
2D
Skipping section, its just a really old series of games. Compared to today's games the AI is terrible, see clip... Then again standing still is probably not a good tactic, so perhaps storm troopers are onto something with random strafing. Though that does explain the aim. Seriously though, my mouse sensitivity was way low in video but I had no idea which direction stormtroopers would move due to weird AI. From what I remember Academy improves a lot.
3D
Cons
-Depth of some weapons are off in comparison to others. If you played Half life 2, same thing.
Pros
-Didn't you ever dream of being a jedi?
Rating: A-
Explanation: Switching back and forth the depth issues are apparent but most weapons are around same range. It reminds me a bit of Half Life 2. More clips are available on s3dgamerzone.com if interested though
